The Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 1GB boasts plenty of power, with many of the same features as the 5870. The clincher, though, is the price. Four hundred dollars is fantastic for a card hard on the heels of a GTX 295 or HD 5870. If you're shopping anywhere near to this price point, nothing tops the ATI HD 5850.

Die Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 bietet die derzeit beste 3D-Leistung pro Euro in der Preisklasse über 200 Euro. (...). Die DirectX-11-Karte eignet sich für PC-Spieler, die moderne 3D-Spiele ruckelfrei mit bis zu 1920 x 1200 Bildpunkten in voller Grafikpracht genießen wollen - idealerweise auf 24-Zoll-Displays. Nur bei besonders Hardware-hungrigen Spielen wie Crysis müssen Sie für spielbare Bildraten auf die 1680er-Auflösung herunterschalten. Positiv zu Buche schlägt auch das recht leise Betriebsgeräusch und der niedrige Energieverbrauch der Sapphire Radeon HD 5850.
