Da die Olympus PEN E-P5 dem Spitzenmodell Olympus OM-D E-M5 bis auf den elektronischen Sucher in fast nichts nachsteht, bzw. dieses teilweise sogar übertreffen kann, hat Olympus damit nun in seinem aktuellen Portfolio zwei Spitzenmodelle zu bieten. Für welches man sich persönlich entscheidet, wird somit beispielsweise vom Design des Kameragehäuses oder dem Wunsch nach einem elektronischen Sucher abhängen. Beide Modelle sind jedoch ohne Frage empfehlenswert.

An excellent entry in the Micro Four Thirds universe, the Olympus PEN E-P5 should please a lot of folks, but it's also expensive given that it doesn't deliver best-in-class photo quality.

The Olympus PEN E-P5 is an extremely impressive mirrorless camera, but we prefer its sibling, the Olympus OM-D EM-5.

Overall we're impressed with what the E-P5 has to offer, particularly with regards to its focusing system and rear display. Although a UK RRP is yet to to be announced, it looks likely to be a more affordable alternative to the company's OM-D E-M5, while still offering that camera's key desirable attributes. We'll have a full review of the camera as soon as full production samples become available.
