In der schmalen S120 steckt ein 1/1,7"-Back-Illuminated-CMOS-Sensor mit 12,1 Megapixeln, der bis ISO 400 für gut aufgelöste Fotos sorgt. Darüber hinaus verlieren feine Bildelemente langsam an Detailgenauigkeit. Bei schwierigen Lichtbedingungen erweist sich dafür das weitwinklige 5-fach-Zoomobjektiv mit einer Anfangslichtstärke von f/1,8 von Vorteil. Neben dem 3 Zoll großen Touch-Display und der Ring-Funktion lassen sich die Aufnahmen mit der WLAN-fähigen S120 auch kabellos teilen.
Die S120 stellt in nur 0,18 Sekunden scharf und ist schon nach 0,6 Sekunden erneut schussbereit. Serien nimmt sie mit 8,6 Bildern pro Sekunde und bis zu 36 Aufnahmen auf. Die Bildqualität bleibt jedoch hinter der des Vorgängers S110 zurück. Gut gefallen das robuste Magnesiumgehäuse und das scharfe Display.
Klein, leicht, gut? Die PowerShot S120 kostet derzeit (Stand: Juni 2014) circa 350 Euro, und dafür erhält der Fotograf eine sehr gut ausgestattete Kompaktkamera mit intuitiver Touchbedienung. Der Akku ist schwach, wenn das WLAN häufig benutzt wird oder Videos gedreht werden. ...
