Testberichte
- Photo quality is excellent for its class
- has good assortment of shooting options
- Relatively short battery life
- autofocus in Smart Auto mode can be hit or miss
Snapshooters wanting better photo quality than their smartphone and an 8x zoom lens in a tiny package should certainly consider the Canon Ixus 230 HS.
Gute, kleine Kompaktkamera für automatische Bilder. Leicht (143 g) und flach (2,2 cm). Schnappschusstauglich (sobald eingeschaltet).
Die Canon Ixus 230 HS bietet eine praxisgerechte Ausstattung fürs Geld. Die Bildqualität liegt im Klassenschnitt.
- Hochauflösendes 3-Zoll-LCD
- prima Videomodus
- Auslöseverzögerung
- Schwächen bei der Ergonomie
- Rauschen schon ab ISO 400
- Farbsäume
Gesamtwertung: 79,8%
- 3-Zoll-Display mit hoher Auflösung
- Videomodus
- Striking design
- excellent LCD screen
- good images
- Lack of manual control
- a few plasticky design touches
- lacking some functionality of advanced IXUS models
Despite featuring an 8x optical zoom, the IXUS 230HS still maintains a slim body and sleek design. The question is, how do its images weigh up?
The IXUS 230HS is a great compact camera and, despite possibly being at the higher end of the price range for an entry level compact, is well worth a look.
- Gute Bildqualität bei Fotos und Videos
- Nur sehr geringes Bildrauschen erkennbar
- 8-fach-Zoomobjektiv
- Available in a wide range of colours
- Good range of fun creative modes
- Metal body
- 8x optical zoom
- Good image quality and colour reproduction
- Full HD video recording
- Occasional purple fringing
- Red-eye when using flash
We reviewed the Canon IXUS 220 HS back in May 2011 and gave it 3.5 out of 5. The IXUS 230 HS has improved on the IXUS 220 HS with more optical zoom, 3 inch LCD screen and a close focus distance of just 1cm. Although in terms of handling the cameras are both pretty similar, the IXUS 230 takes a better picture, particularly with regards to noise performance. ...
The best camera in the world is the one that’s with you. Despite its lack of controls and so-so battery life (it’s worth investing in a couple of backups), the diminutive IXUS 230 HS could be a winner. But – and it’s a hefty one – not at £230. The competition is innovative, price-conscious, and worth more than a glance. Examine street prices for the Nikon Coolpix S100, Panasonic’s Lumix DMC-TZ18, or the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX10 and you might find equally svelte bodies packing yet more gadgetry.
- Sharp images
- Great colours
- Excellent level of detail
- Small enough to carry in your pocket
- Zoom noise on movie soundtrack
- No exposure compensation in auto mode
A great performance from this diminutive snapper proves that good camera design comes down to much more than merely cramming in as many megapixels as the sensor will allow. Its downsides are few and far between, making the Canon IXUS 230HS our favourite ultra compact on sale today.
