Sanyo VPC-SH1
Testberichte
The compact and affordable Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 reminds me of an economy car with a built-in iPod dock. It lacks the high performance and polished features found in more expensive models.
- Good video and still image quality
- Supports Apple-backed iFrame format
- Mediocre low-light performance
- Poor image stabilizer
The compact and affordable Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 reminds me of an economy car with a built-in iPod dock. It lacks the high performance and polished features found in more expensive models. But it’s well priced, does a good job handling the basics, and integrates an Apple technology supported by few cameras. ...
I wish the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 provided higher data rates, cleaner low-light video, a built-in lens cover, and better image stabilization. But fulfilling those wishes would probably raise the price of the camcorder. The VPC-SH1 is not a great camcorder, but considering its price, that’s OK. Its blend of respectable video and still image quality, compact but not cramped size, functional core features, support for the easy-to-edit iFrame format, and reasonable price make the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 a good, sensible purchase.
- Affordable
- Relatively impressive photo quality
- 23x optical zoom extends to 30x with no loss of quality
- Easy-to-use simple mode
- Terrible image stabiliser
- Flimsy grip strap
- Framing photos is awkward on the 16:9 LCD screen
Sanyo promotes its camcorders as 'Dual Cameras' -- making the claim that they're equally as good at taking photos as they are recording video. The SH1's specs would appear to bear this out. As well as video recording up to 1080p, the SH1 can take high-resolution photos up to 3,648x2,736 pixels (with interpolation), which works out at around 10 megapixels.
Fairly affordable and offering a decent balance of abilities, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-SH1 is a good camcorder that takes notable still photos. Superior video quality is available elsewhere, however, for around the same price.

- Quick and easy to operate
- attractive and compact styling and dimensions
- Still photo quality not up to scratch at higher settings
- audible wind noise on video when shooting outside
- background "buzz" when recording indoors
Claimed to be the smallest and lightest in its class, the VPC-SH1 is Sanyo's latest range topping "dual camera". ...
Delivering Full HD video with the minimum of fuss and at a reasonable price, the Sanyo VPC-SH1 is one of the simpler flash memory devices out there
