The HTC Trophy isn't Verizon's most powerful or advanced smartphone, but if you don't need all the bells and whistles, the Windows Phone offers great ease of use and good integration of features in a sleek package.

There’s nothing much wrong with the HTC 7 Trophy, but it does little to distinguish itself from the Windows Phone 7 crowd and, despite being the entry-level model for this mobile platform, it’s outshone by cheaper Android devices.

The HTC Trophy is one of many Windows Phone 7 devices available in international markets. Since Asia and Europe are often the recipients of cool phones, while we usually get the safe options, we decided to get one in to see if we were missing out on anything. The answer is: Not really.
Designed for the international markets, the HTC Trophy is a well-designed and solid-performing Windows smartphone, but unless you're looking for an unlocked phone, there are better, more-affordable options in the US.

The HTC 7 Trophy is one of five smartphones launched in Australia that run Microsoft's new mobile operating system, Windows Phone 7. The 7 Trophy lacks the unibody aluminium design of the very similar HTC 7 Mozart but has a slightly larger display. It is sold exclusively through Vodafone.
The HTC 7 Trophy smartphone has limited internal memory and a display that isn't as big or as sharp as competing handsets' screens, but the slick user interface of Windows Phone 7 makes it a good option nonetheless.

Between the LGs, the Samsung and the HTC Mozart, the Trophy is the piggy-in-the-middle of Windows Phone 7 launch devices. We appreciate its sharp design more than that of the Mozart and Optimus 7Q, but it lacks some of the features of the Omnia 7 and Optimus 7 that elevate them in our esteem. This phone is a very passable effort from HTC, an attractive handset delivering a great user experience, yet we can't help but wonder if HTC could have done more to deliver a more unique device.

HTC has made a reputation for itself as a manufacturer of solid, reassuringly weighty handsets, and the Trophy is just such a phone. It tips the scales at 140g, and measures 62 by 119 by 12mm. We find that a pleasing size -- the phone is slim and narrow enough so that it'll fit in just about any pocket or handbag.
The HTC 7 Trophy is a perfectly good choice if you want to take advantage of Microsoft's nifty Windows Phone 7 operating system. It doesn't really stand out among the other handsets running the operating system, though.

Auf den ersten Blick sieht man ihm das nicht an, bemerkt die Unterschiede bei Ausstattung und Materialauswahl aber im direkten Vergleich.
