Fazit
Wer nicht vor der schieren Größe zurückschreckt, bekommt mit dem Sony Xperia Style ein ausladendes Smartphone mit ordentlichem Display und hinreichend Leistung. Gut sind die vorhandenen Konnektivitätsmöglichkeiten und die griffige Rückseite.

The Sony Xperia T3 is a strange beast. Priced at the upper end of mid-range, it's an ultrathin smartphone with an enormous 5.3 inch display and some premium styling. But everything else is lacklustre, from the cheap-looking plastic back to the small amount of memory available. It's not a phone we can really get behind.

Durchaus stylisch mag dieses Mittelklasse-Modell sein, wenn aber auch nicht so hochwertig wie die aktuelle Z3-Serie. Das Gesamtpaket leidet aber durch die mittelprächtigen Messwerte und mäßige Kameraqualität. Im breiten Feld hat dieser 5-Zoller sehr viel Konkurrenz, die zum Teil für weniger Geld in diesen Disziplinen mehr fundierte Qualität bieten. Im freien Handel dürfte es dieser Japaner daher eher schwer haben, sich zu etablieren.

... Zum einen hat uns das Display sehr gut gefallen, dessen Helligkeit wirklich vorbildlich ausfiel, zum anderen konnte das Smartphone mit seiner Verarbeitung, inklusive Metallrahmen punkten. Die Arbeitsgeschwindigkeit und Spielleistung ist ebenfalls gelungen und die Benachrichtigungs-LED in der Hörmuschel erweist sich als schickes Designmerkmal. Das schnelle Internet ist ebenfalls hervorzuheben und auch der integrierte Speicher verfügt über eine hohe Geschwindigkeit...

Sony's Xperia T3 is a distinctive-looking and well-built large-screen smartphone with no serious failings. But it isn't great value at £299 (inc. VAT, or £249.17 ex. VAT). If you like Sony's style and want a really large screen, then the even bigger 6.4-inch first-generation Xperia Z Ultra might be worth a look: now selling for around £250 (inc. VAT, or £208 ex. VAT), the Ultra runs Android 4.4 on a quad-core processor.

However, the T3’s underwhelming performance is, for us, a real dealbreaker. We’d recommend either the Motorola Moto G, which offers comparable performance and screen quality for £100 less, or the Nexus 5, which is superior to the T3 in all respects...
