  • Full 1080p HD screen
  • very fast processor
  • solid build quality
  • HTC Sense 5.0
  • No expandable storage
  • no removable battery
  • not cheap
Fazit

The HTC One is a lot of smartphone, with a terrifically powerful processor, a stonkingly good screen and pretty good camera. But its premium spec comes at a premium price and with other high quality Androids like the Google Nexus 4 coming in at half the price, how many will want to stump up the extra ackers for just a few extra attributes?

The performance per pound level of the HTC One V can’t be faulted. As a mid-range smartphone, it’s best in class, just beating the Nokia Lumia 710 as an all-rounder and offers build and style that the Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus just can’t manage. ...

  • The HTC One V's bent chin is a refreshing take on an old design, and its aluminum chassis feels great
  • The 5-megapixel camera delivers good value for the price.
  • The One V's nonremovable battery lasts for about a day, and the single-core 1GHz processor is sluggish
Fazit

The HTC One V may be a low-cost handset, but it does have enough incentives such as the BSI sensor and ICS that make it worth considering. Sadly, the single-core processor is a little dated and not up to par, so you may encounter some lag if you like to play games. With a retail price of $317 without an operator contract, the One V seems to be good value for money if you want a cheap Ice Cream Sandwich device that can take semi-decent images.

The HTC One V is a great looking phone, and its likely low end price will mean it has widespread appeal, even if it is a little sluggish when it comes to performance.
