...You are paying over the odds to own an iPhone. You’ll be in a privileged minority, because we’d wager that the general public will not be buying the iPhone at this price. But if you’re prepared to pay the premium, you’ll end up with a wonderful device.
- Retina-Display mit fantastischer Auflösung
- Multitasking-fähig
- Ordner-Struktur
- HDR-Funktion der Kamera
- guter Content
- ruckelfreies Betriebssystem
- Display-Helligkeit schlechter als bei iPhone 3GS
- Browser stellt keine Flash-Webseiten dar
- 3,5-Zoll-Display für ein Top-Smartphone eher klein
- schluckt nur micro-SIM Karten
- keine Erweiterbarkeit via microSD Karte
- Superb design and construction
- Outstanding display
- Snappy performance and strong app ecosystem
- Antenna issues when held in a certain way
- Glass back susceptible to cracking if dropped
- Lacks flexibility and scope for customisation
Apple's fourth-generation iPhone has finally arrived in Australia. Despite the criticism Apple has faced over its antenna design, the iPhone 4 has been well received down under. The phone possesses the best display we've seen on a smartphone and boasts a superbly constructed body that is head and shoulders above its competitors.
Despite antenna issues, Apple's iPhone 4 is definitely the best iPhone yet. Its superb design, outstanding display and excellent camera make it an ideal upgrade for owners of older Apple handsets and enticing for non-iPhone owners. Many competing smartphones can do more, but none of them do it in a manner that's as slick or polished as the iPhone 4.
The Apple iPhone 4 is the thinnest smartphone in the world with the highest resolution display ever built into a phone handset. Read our Apple iPhone 4 review to find out if it should be your next mobile phone...
Apple's fourth-generation smartphone really is its best yet, notwithstanding controversy about external antennae. In our tests, reception was outstanding. Its screen is the highest resolution of just about any screened gadget, with amazing colour and definition. ...
- Design, finish, screen quality
- Responsiveness
- Multitasking & single inbox
- Photo & HD video quality / FaceTime is free and fun
- Improved battery life
- Reception drops when you hold it in a certain way (reception display issue?)
- FaceTime can only be used over Wi-Fi and with other iPhone 4 users
- Could use a video stabilisation function
- No Flash support for web browsing
- High SAR level
The iPhone 4 marks the start of a new generation of iPhone. ...
The iPhone 4 may well correct many flaws of the 3GS, but is it really the hottest new touchscreen mobile out there, setting new standards for others to follow? Well, yes, so long as you don't mind being tied to the restrictive world of iTunes. The high-definition screen, faultless speed and responsiveness, excellent picture quality, improved battery life, highly intuitive interface and great choice of applications, all make the iPhone 4 a truly excellent handset.
Does Apple iPhone OS 4 mark the point at which Apple retakes the lead in the mobile phone operating software market, or is it simply getting even with Google Android, BlackBerry and the rest? ...
It's too early to give a definitive verdict on Apple iPhone OS 4. Suffice to say that the new additions are welcome add-ons to an already polished operating system. The lack of Flash support continues to be an issue, but Apple has shown sufficient panache in the past to suggest that this will be a winner.
- Beautifully designed hardware and software
- Excellent still and video camera
- New antenna is a major design fail
The Apple iPhone 4 ($199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB version, with a two-year contract from AT&T) is everything that a new piece of technology should be: It's innovative, attractive, and ahead of its competition. In comparison, previous iPhone upgrades seem inconsequential--that's how much iPhone 4 brings to the table.
The iPhone 4 is a major upgrade from its predecessor, the iPhone 3GS, in everything from the camera quality to data speeds.
