Die ziemlich teure Western Digital VelociRaptor (WD1000DHTZ) hat sich im Test bis an die Spitze der Bestenliste der internen 3,5-Zoll-Festplatten durchgebissen: Extrem hohe Transferraten und kurze Zugriffszeiten bei gleichzeitig sehr niedrigen Betriebstemperaturen machen es möglich. Damit ist die WD VelociRaptor (WD1000DHTZ) sogar eine gute Alternative zu einer SSD, die mit 1 TByte Kapazität noch sehr selten und extrem teuer sind.
