Das neue Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon ist ein rundum gelungenes Ultrabook - nicht nur für Geschäftskunden. Endlich bietet es mehr Anschlussmöglichkeiten, leider fällt dafür der für viele Nutzer wichtige SD-Kartenleser weg. Empfehlenswert ist zudem nur die teure Variante mit IPS-Panel.

The Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon hasn’t changed much from the older model, and while the addition of a touchscreen and higher resolution display are nice to have, it’s not a bona-fide reason to upgrade. What’s worth keeping in mind is the battery life is a concern, and the keyboard tweaks might not be to everyone’s liking when you actually being using it. But for a well-built, thin, lightweight, and durable laptop, no Windows laptop even comes remotely close.

Das Gehäuse aus einem Kohlefaserrahmen, einer Magnesiumlegierung, einer neoprenartigen Beschichtung und massiven Display-Scharnieren ist erstklassig. Die beleuchtete Tastatur und der Trackpoint gehören zu den besten ihrer Art. Allerdings lässt die Rechenleistung zu wünschen übrig, reicht aber für Office-Dokumente, zum Surfen und für die Medien-Wiedergabe. Toll ist das eingebaute UMTS-Modul.

The addition of a touchscreen gives the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon more versatility when you're using Windows 8. It remains one of the best Ultrabooks on the market due to its overall build quality and an excellent keyboard.
