HP Envy 14-1010EG WN945EA
Testberichte
- Strikingly unusual looks
- decent performance
- Heavier and thicker than most ultrabooks
- mouse buttons a bit awkward
It's a bit thicker and heavier than most ultrabooks, so if you're counting the grams it's not going to work for you. Performance is average though nothing to be ashamed of, but that luscious glass casing is most likely to be the main appeal. A decent alternative to look at would be the Asus Zenbook UX31.
- Attractive design
- Excellent build quality
- Very good overall performance
- Decent gaming performance
- Acceptable battery life
- Low quality display panel
- Poor brightness
- Glossy display
When equipped with a quad-core Core i7 processor as well as a Radeon HD 6630M graphics card, there is no question that the Envy 14 is exceptionally powerful for its size. Compared to other notebooks with equivalent hardware, the Envy 14 is also relatively affordable. It's a pity that HP had to use such a low-end display to keep the price down. ...
- Glas-Optik unterscheidet sich deutlich von anderen Geräten
- praktische Lautstärkeregelung
- teuer
- nur durchschnittliche Performance
- größer und schwerer als andere Ultrabooks
- schlechtes Trackpad
- beide USB-Anschlüsse links
- spiegelndes Display
The newly announced HP Spectre is the most glass-covered laptop we've ever seen. Is that a good thing? We've seen glass-heavy smartphones like the iPhone 4, but not so much in laptops ... until now. At CES 2012, we got a good close-up look at HP's bold Envy redesign.
Was der 14,5-Zöller Envy 14-2000g leistet, zeigt unser Test. ...
- Excellent audio and video
- Top-notch features and connecitvity
- A bit heavier than the standard all-purpose
- Mediocre ergonomics
This all-purponse laptop has looks, great features, and reasonable performance, but the ergonomics are only mediocre.
- Great, backlit keyboard
- Well constructed
- Beats audio does help improve the laptop sound
- USB port on charger is appreciated
- Photoshop and Premiere Elements included
- Speakers aren't that great for all the advertising
- Poor screen quality
- Right facing hot air vent
- Poor battery performance
- Dr Dre headphones over-emphasise bass, lack clarity everywhere else
- Buttons integrated into touch pad cause frustration
HP's Envy 14 is an exercise in branding, ignoring the fact that a premium brand should also have premium performance. Give this one a miss.

- Exudes style and quality
- Core i7 processor is powerful enough for real work
- Beats Solo headphones deliver exceptional sound
- Without switchable graphics the battery life is very disappointing, and despite the great spec we’re not sure we can call it good value
- the trackpad is infuriating
From the stylish packaging to the aluminium case emblazoned with the Beats logo to the impressive specs (which include colour-coded Beats Solo headphones courtesy of Dr Dre), the HP Envy 14 is a desirable beas. ...
Style first doesn’t always make for the best system. You might fall in love with the looks, the sound, the style and the sheer power, but make sure that the price, the weight, the battery life and trackpad on the HP EVNY 14 Beats Edition suit you too
The HP Envy 14 Beats Edition is another take on the premium Envy 14 laptop, with style and sound tuning from Dr Dre.
The HP Envy 14 Beats Edition is a solid enough 14.5in notebook, spruced up here to appeal to a younger audience. Yet we can't help feeling that Hewlett Packard is playing the trendy dad, not really understanding the youth generation so instead buying in credibility with the heavily trademarked Dr Dre name. ...
- hochwertig
- gute Lautsprecher
- hohe Performance
- angenehme Tastatur
- geringe Erwärmung
- ordentliche Akkulaufzeit
- schlechtes Display
- hohe Lautstärke
- gering getaktete ATI Mobility Radeon 5650
- Attractive design
- High-end materials
- Excellent case stability
- Good loudspeaker sound
- Complete connectivity
- Supplies & full versions
- Comfortable keyboard
- Fast hard disk
- Low case heating
- Acceptable battery life
- Contrast low & color weak TFT
- Reflective display
- Narrow viewing angles and low brightness
- Unfavorable port distribution
- High system noise under load
- Persistently audible hard disk
- Downclocked HD 5650
There's been a big hype about HP's Envy series. The manufacturer wanted to create a new top product, for which "prosumers" (marketing jargon) are willing to spend a lot of money on. The 13, 14, 15 and 17 inch devices are now to be on par with Apple's MacBook Pro laptops. ...
Alike the first Envy 14 incher, the 14-1190eg Beats Edition can serve with first-rate stability, an attractive case and high-end equipment (input devices, interfaces). The performance, with the high clocking Core i5-560M, is apt for demanding applications, like video and sound editing. The system performance is exceptionally high due to the fast rotating 500 GB hard disk (20th place in the ranking of ALL notebooks). A drawback for gamers is the Radeon HD 5650 clocked down to 450 MHz. It is measurably not as strong as the 550 MHz counterpart. ...
Display-Flop.
- Looks great
- sturdy build quality
- backlit keyboard
- ships with Beats By Dre Solo headphones
- Core i7 CPU
- better sound quality than most notebook on the market
- No line or optical audio input
- glossy screen
- screen isn't Full HD
There is a lot to like about the HP Envy 14 Beats Edition. For starters, it looks great! Its dark lid, silver base and red Beats logo give it an identity that's sure to stand out in the crowd; secondly, it has a very sturdy build quality and it feels great to use; thirdly, it has an Intel Core i7 CPU and 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM in it, so it can handle practically any task you throw at it. However, despite being a notebook that's aimed at DJs and music lovers, its audio adapter isn't great: it doesn't have a comprehensive settings panel and it also lacks an analogue line input.
With great styling, a solid build quality and Beats by Dr Dre headphones, the HP Envy 14 Beats Edition notebook is hard to resist. It's the type of notebook you buy when you have deep pockets, a need for a powerful laptop, and you want to stand out from the crowd. That said, it's not perfect, and it could still use a few more features to make it a killer notebook.
- Cool, modern design
- Strong performance
- Comes bundled with Beats headphones
- Expensive
- Annoying trackpad design
- Not the brightest screen
- No Blu-ray player
In terms of construction, the Envy 14 Beats laptop is very similar to the regular Envy 14. With this version, however, you get a matte-black finish on the lid and wrist rest, and an attractive chrome trim around the chassis. We're not sold on the huge Beats logo that adorns the lid itself, but the more subtle design touches, such as the Beats 'B' on the keyboard and the red accent colours elsewhere look great.
If you're after a stylish desktop replacement machine, this is a cool twist on the Envy line of laptops. The trackpad is quite annoying though, and there's no Blu-ray player on board, so think carefully before throwing down your notes.
The HP Envy 14 is Hewlett Packard's rendering of an Apple MacBook Pro, now available in 14.5in widescreen size, and with useful improvements beyond the HP Envy 13 that came before.
Available for a penny under a grand, the 14in Envy is priced more competitively than the £1500 of its 13in predecessor. That model has now been discounted to an appealing £849 or less. But in the HP Envy 14 you now get an integrated optical drive and internal battery that gives very handy battery life. ...
With the release of the Envy 14, HP's followup to its MacBook Pro challengers, the company made some major improvements in design, ergonomics, and value. And, just as with last year's releases, HP has collaborated with Beats by Dr. Dre on Beats Audio to bring a special edition version to market. The Envy 14 Beats Edition ditches the professional grade mixing tools the 15-inch version offered in exchange for a much lower price...
This special edition of HP's premium 14.5-inch laptop pairs a hip design with excellent audio quality.
- stabiles Chassis
- sehr gute Tastatur
- Display: Luminanz / Kontrast
- geringe Abwärme auch unter Last
- schnelle Festplatte
- Akku-Slice
- fiependes Geräusch
- gewöhnungsbedürftiges Touchpad
- stark spiegelndes Display
- Attractive design
- High-end materials
- Excellent case stability
- Full-fledged connectivity
- Pleasant keyboard
- Outstanding display
- Very good application performance
- Case's temperature stay within limits
- Reasonable battery life
- Unfavorable port positioning
- Multi-touch pad needs getting used to
- Possible reflections on the display
- Partly high noise possible
- Moderate sound output quality
It's already been over a year since HP has provided for commotion with two new notebooks called Envy. The notebook major league is supposed to be really stirred up with the Envy 13 and Envy 15, and that in one of the most demanding categories - multimedia notebooks. The task here is to unite performance and mobility and also all other factors that could be of interest for the user. ...
The ingredients are balanced and HP has even done almost everything right with the seasoning. The stylish case still bids a top-notch stability and an attractive jacket for a high-quality configuration. As to the connections, you generally locate the right interfaces without fail, whereas we weren't always happy with their placement. This especially applies to the image and video outputs on the case's right. ...
About a year has passed since HP released its Envy 13 and 15, high-style notebooks aimed directly at Apple's MacBook Pros. We generally liked the designs of these metal-bodied machines, but their high prices and mediocre ergonomics dampened our enthusiasm. Now here comes the Envy 14, which starts at $999 ($1,289 as configured)...
The 14.5-inch version of HP's premium laptop line combines style and fast performance with a great display and audio quality.
