Fazit
Der Mac Pro ist hingegen ein echter Spezialist und als solcher besonders für den Videoschnitt in Final Cut Pro X geeignet. Hier muss es nicht mal ein Sechs- oder Achtkerner sein, der Vierkerner erkämpft sich dank der zwei Grafikkarten auch schon einen spürbaren Vorteil. Einen ganz besonderen Platz dürfte sich der Basis-Mac-Pro in modernen Tonstudios erkämpfen. Stille ist hier sicher mehr erwünscht als pure Leistung.

Fazit
For pros that use apps that take advantage of multiple processing cores, the Mac Pro is a time-saver, but is probably overkill for everyday tasks. The $2999 Mac Pro is a real step up from its predecessor.
