...Das MacBook Pro 15 Retina aus 2013 kann mit einer fast makellosen Verarbeitung und gelungenen Haptik sowie Optik überzeugen. Die Eingabegeräte lassen qualitativ keine Wünsche offen und besonders das Trackpad ist nach wie vor als eines der besten Mausersatzgeräte anzusehen. Die Tastatur könnte ein paar Zusatztasten vertragen, um nicht ständig mit FN-Kombinationen die Finger krumm machen zu müssen....

This ever-so-slimmer, ever-so-lighter take on a design introduced last year still packs a punch — and a longer-lasting one at that, with some green in the form of money saved to boot. As always, power users will want to look to its bigger sibling, but for most of us, the best midrange notebook around just got a bit better.

Apple’s ‘best’ configuration MacBook Pro with Retina display of late 2013 sees the reintroduction of a discrete graphics processor, now removed from the entry-level model. This will be useful for some OpenCL-based professional applications as well as when connecting multiple monitors. For more modest requirements, including gameplay, there’s less pressure to go discrete though.

Compared to the predecessor it is now thinner and lighter with better performance and longer battery runtimes. Case, input devices, emissions and the screen are still the benchmark in many respects. Die Neuauflage des MacBook Pro 13“ mit Retina Display ist Apple fast rundherum gelungen. Der Formfaktor erscheint durch das etwas schlankere Gehäuse stimmiger. Das niedrigere Gewicht ist willkommen, auch wenn das MacBook Pro nur 50 g verloren hat. Details wie ein stärkerer Magnet im MagSafe-Anschluss hat Apple verbessert....

There are other high-res laptops out there, but this year’s more powerful and affordable 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro is one of the best of the bunch, and makes a compelling case for upgrading from the 13-inch Air.

There's absolutely no doubt that the MacBook Pro Retina 13 has a beautiful display. Some will be phased by the weight and go for the MacBook Air, others will deem it to be worth it. We just wish it came with discrete graphics.
