Testberichte
If you want a small, lightweight, waterproof action camera the Session does the job. It's particularly well suited to underwater filming, on the beach or atop a cycle helmet. Video quality is good and it works reliably with the GoPro app. ...

- Compact
- Lightweight body
- Wind-reduction microphone
- Slow start up
- One button control can be problematic
Smaller and lighter, the Session looks to be a great entry into the action cam market.
It’s not cheap at $499 (and that’s without extra mounts), but if you’re familiar with GoPros then that should come as little surprise. The company’s cameras have always been a little on the pricey side, but people have always been willing to pay because of the construction, the operation and the performance. This is all here, and it’s in a brilliantly compact package.
- One of the smallest and lightest action cameras around
- Proficient video recording
- Easy user interface
- Waterproof to 10 metres without housing
- Strong range of mounts that don't add much bulk to its size
- No still-photo mode directly from the camera
- Can accidentally activate the wrong mode
- Expensive
GoPro pioneered the action camera category, and although rivals are clawing at its feet with competing iterations, the Hero4 Session is another large step forward. No competing camera can take it on in both performance and size.
- Small and tough
- Water resistant without a case
- Decent battery life
- Solid audio capture
- Video quality not as good as Hero4 Silver
- Battery not removable
The GoPro Hero 4 Session is a fantastic feat of engineering – it manages to do so much yet remain so small. ...
- Gute Video-Qualität
- Handlich und leicht
- Ohne Gehäuse 10 Meter wasserdicht
- Solide Akkulaufzeit
- Kaum Ausstattung
- Compact, low-profile design.
- Simple-to-use, always-on operation.
- Great video quality. Improved audio.
- Waterproof without bulky housing.
- Expensive.
- Same-price Hero4 Silver performs better.
- No live-recording preview.
The shrunken-down GoPro Hero4 Session may not offer any performance gains over its big brothers, but it's still quite good and more fun to use than other action cams.
GoPro sheds its housing for the Hero4 Session, an excellent POV camera that's ready to capture what the day brings -- in or out of the water -- at the press of a button.
