Auch der Notebook-Spezialist Toshiba mischt bei Tablets mit dem vergleichsweise preiswerten Folio 100 mit, das auf Android 2.2 setzt. Ein Schwachpunkt des ansonsten gut ausgestatteten Pads ist das Display: Die 10,1-Zoll-Anzeige ist zwar hochaufgelöst und multitouchfähig, doch bei nicht optimalem Betrachtungswinkel leidet die Bildqualität stark.

Beim Toshiba Folio 100 bekommt man das, wofür man zahlt: Es ist verhältnismäßig günstig und gar nicht mal schlecht. Allerdings ist es auch weit entfernt von der Klasse des iPad oder Galaxy Tab. Denn beim Toshiba-Tablet muss man mit Einschränkungen leben: Das beginnt bei der nicht perfekten Bedienung und gipfelt im schwachen Bildschirm. Auf der Mängelliste stehen außerdem das Fehlen von Market-Zugang und Flash-Unterstützung, zudem bietet das Folio kein UMTS und GPS.
