- schickes Design
- gute Verarbeitung
- schnell
- gute Low-Light-Aufnahmen
- scharfer Touchscreen
- 3D-Schwenkpanorama
- schwacher Akku
- Large and responsive touch-sensitive LCD
- Minimalist design and metal construction
- Svelte proportions maintain portability
- Similar features to the WX5, yet £100 dearer
- You'll either love or hate the touchscreen
- Focus falls off toward the edges at maximum wide-angle setting
- Pixel-fringing visible between areas of high contrast
Like the WX5, the TX9 offers the new '3D sweep panorama' mode, despite featuring just the one lens at the front. The results are viewable only on a 3D TV. As this is wholly software-based technology, space for twin lenses and 3D sensors -- like those of the Fujifilm FinePix W3 -- aren't required, so the camera is a lighter, more svelte option.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 is a 12.2-megapixel snapshot camera with a slide-and-shoot faceplate. While not the best value, it ticks the boxes for the latest must-have features, including a 3.5-inch touchscreen and 1080i video.
- Modes for low-light, panorama, 3D shooting
- Accepts both SD/SDHC and Memory Stick
- Very slim, with good build quality
- Customizable icon menus in all shooting modes
- Pricey for a camera with no manual controls
- Images look a bit soft when you don't use a tripod
Although it's as thin and light as any camera we've seen, the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 certainly doesn't skimp on features or performance. This ultracompact touchscreen camera is one of the first Cyber-shot cameras to offer 3D shooting modes, and it has Sony's excellent Intelligent Sweep Panorama and Handheld Twilight modes. ...
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 is a good touchscreen camera that will thrill Sony gadget fans. Since it has a ton of shooting modes, including some rather nifty ones (Handheld Twilight, 3D, Intelligent Sweep Panorama), a casual photographer is sure to find this camera more than capable. Image quality can be iffy in certain situations--pictures tend to look soft and washed out—but in overall performance the TX9 is among the best we've seen in 2010. The price is a little higher than that of similar cameras, but if you have the money to spend, this is definitely a sleek, stylish camera that gives you plenty of options.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 is a compact digital cameras that offers great image quality and is easy for novice photographers to use.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 digital camera takes great photographs, but has a few design flaws.
- Great image quality
- Annoying physical design
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 is a compact digital camera that offers great image quality and is easy for novice photographers to use. The Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 looks very much like the TX5; it has a slim body with a slide-to-start front cover and a touchscreen LCD. It's an ideal size for anyone who likes to carry a camera around with them no matter what the occasion.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 is a compact digital camera that offers great image quality and is easy for novice photographers to use. "We were very impressed with the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 digital camera; it delivered pleasing results during out tests.

The sleek, stylish, touchscreen-controlled TX9 offers very good overall performance and fun-to-use modes, but images tend to look soft.
- Full-HD-Videofunktion
- sehr schickes Gehäuse
- niedrige Ausgangsdynamik
- sichtbare Randabdunklung
- 3.5-inch touchscreen panel
- sophisticated, sleek design
- 25mm wide-angle lens
- lens able to resolve a lot of details
- Some buttons and zoom rocker are too small for large hands
- obvious barrel distortion at 25mm
- some images appear over-processed when viewed at full magnification
Sharing a similar aesthetic to Sony's other slim TX-series point-and-shoots, the TX9 features a sliding front metal panel that covers a 4x optical zoom lens. The glasses move internally, so no parts protrude from the camera when the lens is zooming. At the wide end, it's 25mm, but otherwise it's unremarkable--opening to F3.5-4.6 maximum aperture at the wide and telephoto extremes.
The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX9 offers plenty of advanced shooting features underneath its good looks.
- Wertiges Gehäuse
- klasse Ausstattung
- 3D-Bilder, wenig Rauschen
- Schwacher Akku
- hoher Texturverlust
- zu lange Auslöseverzögerung
Bildqualität (45 %): 70; Ausstattung / Handling (40 %): 80; Geschwindigkeit (15 %): 51
Testurteil: befriedigend

The Sony TX9 is a stylish touchscreen camera that mostly delivers on its image quality promise. Larger fingers will need to mind its tiny form factor, though.
The Sony TX9 is a stylish touchscreen camera that mostly delivers on its image quality promise. Larger fingers will need to mind its tiny form factor, though.
