Testberichte
- ktuelles und unverändertes Android
- sehr hohes Verarbeitungsniveau
- Display mit guter Farbdarstellung
- hervorragendes Kontrastverhältnis
- ...
- Display mit zu geringer Maximalhelligkeit
- Akku imt teils unterdurchschnittlicher Laufzeit
- Speicher nicht erweiterbar
- Akku fest verbaut
- Enhanced Moto experiences
- Rock solid design and in-hand feel
- Excellent 13 megapixel camera
- Unique back options with wood and leather
- Beautiful 1080p display
- Lack of microSD or more than 32GB storage
I understand that updates are natural for device evolution, but still find the original Moto X to have an extremely compelling form factor. I would like to have seen a better camera and improved battery life, but Moto took it a bit further with a larger display and improved internal specs. Thankfully they also enhanced the end-user experience and even added another choice for customization.
- Vastly improved display and processor over its predecessor
- Beautiful design
- Wide variety of hardware customizations available
- Solid voice command implementation
- ...
- Inconsistent camera performance
- Tons of carrier bloatware
- No memory card slot
- Battery isn't removable
The second-generation Motorola Moto X smartphone is a welcome return to form, thanks to its excellent performance and smooth, unadulterated Android 4.4 interface.
The Moto X has never been about topping the competition when it comes to speeds and feeds. Rather, Motorola's philosophy is to give you enough specs to stick with the pack, and then cement the bond with personalized voice commands a look and feel you can design yourself.
- innovative Sprachsteuerung
- gute Akkulaufzeit
- aktueller Android
Schneller LTE-Funk. ...
- Sprachsteuerung, Leistung, Preis, Performance, Akku
- Innovative, gut umgesetzte Software-Features
- Aktuelles Android
- Zügige Update-Politik
- Kamera nicht immer zuverlässig
- Für die gebotene Hardware relativ teuer
Testsieger
- Tolle Sprachsteuerung
- Gute Performance
- Hübsches Walnuss-Gehäuse
- Interner 16-GB-Speicher nicht erweiterbar
- neueste Android-Versin
- innovative Sprachsteuerung
- lange Akkulaufzeit
- Stylish smartphone
- Large, high resolution screen
- Speedy continuous shooting
- Quite cheap for a smartphone
- Limited control over camera settings
- Poor image quality
- LED flash is too bright for portraits
The Motorola X looks stylish and is one of the cheaper smartphones available. For those who want a smartphone with a good camera, it's bad news. Images have decent colour reproduction, but detail isn't impressive and there are clearly quality issues with a number of our sample shots. The camera has limited options - so it's easy enough to use, but the user lacks control.
With its fantastic screen, amazing battery life and premium build quality, the Moto X sets the benchmark for mid-range phones.
- Superior design
- Faultless software
- Unparalleled voice control
- No expandable memory
There is magic to the way the Moto X gets things done. Inconspicuous design and a level of intuition helps the smartphone blend into your lifestyle. It’s not that the smartphone is at arm’s length when you need it; it’s that it disappears into the background when you don’t.
- One of the first to run KitKat out of the box
- Lighter and thinner than the Moto G
- Google Now voice operation works well
- Some additions are a little gimmicky
- Confused camera software
- No removable backing unlike Moto G
Handling (30 %): 96; Internet (20 %): 97; Multimedia (20 %): 84; Telefon/Akku (20 %): 92; App-Store (10 %): 96
- aktuelles nahezu unverändertes Android 4.4.2
- kontrastreiches AMOLED-Display (1280 x 720)
- erweiterte, komfortable Sprachsteuerung
- umfassende Connectivity (drei LTE-Frequenzen, ac-WLAN und breite Bluetooth-Unterstützung)
- ...
- fünf Stunden praxistypische Ausdauer
- nur 16 GB intern, kein Speicherkarten-Slot
- kein Headset
- Akku nicht austauschbar
- Standout features
- Solid build
- Android 4.4 Kit Kat
- Poor screen
- Poor camera quality compared to rivals
- More expensive that better specced rivals
We want to like the Moto X. Features such as active display and touchless controls really do make it stand out from the plethora of Android smartphones on the market today. It has excellent battery life too. ...
- Gesture controls come in handy
- Quality build
- Camera
- Sound quality
- Good screen
- OS is fluid, responsive
- Voice control works well (although it has its limits)
- We'd like to see even more voice control possibilities
- Non-expandable memory
- Moto Maker customisation service not yet available in UK (coming soon)
The Moto X may not boast hardware as impressive as its high-end counterparts, but it's still a choice buy. For one thing, it doesn't really have any major, deal-breaking flaws (that's rare on a mid-range phone); instead it has tons of advantages. Plus, Motorola's added features, like voice and gesture control, hit their mark and are more than just gimmicky window dressing.
- Great design and feel
- Excellent performance
- Near stock Android
- Useful software enhancements
- Poor battery life
- Weak camera
- No expandable storage
- Slow charging
With its swoopy, curvy looks, the Moto X has a thoughtful design both inside and out that is full of charm and power, backed up by great software that is let down only by its endurance and camera.
- Very good build
- Rubber-coated back
- Innovative and useful features
- Decent software bundle
- ...
- No Full HD resolution
- Casing's design inconsistent
- Few accessories available
- Only middling battery runtimes
We are happy to see that Motorola has not lost its spirit for innovation, and again proves that one can show even smartphone moguls that there is still some room for improvement with clever ideas. "Active Display" is a very useful feature, and can increase the only middling runtimes considerably in routine use....
- Sehr gute Verarbeitung
- Gummierte Rückseite
- Innovative und praktische Features
- Gutes Softwarepaket
- ...
- Intelligente Funktion Active Display
- Gute Gesamtausstattung
- - schnelles Internet per LTE und ac-WLAN
- -fast reines Android und damit schnelle Updates
- - kontrastreiches AMOLED-Display
- - Akku ist fest verbaut
- - kein erweiterbarer Speicher
- - nur als 16-GB-Variante in Deutschland zu haben
- Great design, nice features over the standard Google offering, fantastic battery life
- More expensive than the Nexus 5 and a lower spec, camera isn't amazing, no Moto Maker customisation (yet)
In one sense, nothing has changed since our initial Moto X review based on our US experience of this phone. But that was six months ago and pre-Nexus 5. Times have changed, but our soft spot for this phone hasn't....
For a flagship phone the Moto X comes in at a very reasonable price. Performance and software are both excellent but the device is lacking that premium feel and is a little way behind the leaders in some areas. Unfortunately, Motorola spent too long bringing it to the UK and without the Moto Maker, so the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact and Nexus 5 are better alternatives.
- Classy, simple design
- Neat 'active display' notifications
- Excellent HDR shots
- Out-of-date processor
- Poor low-light camera shots
- Slightly overpriced
The Motorola Moto X is not a bargain like the Moto G. And it doesn’t have the specs to be a true top-end phone. However, the streamlined approach it takes to Android is exceptionally easy to get on with.
