The X70 comes along at a funny time. The X-Pro2 has shown us the next steps in Fujifilm tech, and at this point, the X70 seems like a swan song for Fujifilm's venerable 16.3MP sensor. The X100T and X-T1 are still the standout cameras when it comes to a fast, refined experience with this basic hardware, with the X70 feeling a bit more like the X100S in terms of overall performance. ...
The X70 is unusual mix of retro and modern design with its exposure dials and articulated touchscreen, but for me it’s a winning combination. Image quality is outstanding and it has enough charm to make me want to forgive its minor weaknesses. The price is surprisingly reasonable, too.
- "Great photo quality for the money and a manual-friendly design are the Fujifilm X70's high points."
- "It has slow autofocus and some annoying controls."
It's not for everyone. But if you're a manual-control freak who views the world at a wide angle and won't miss a viewfinder, the Fujifilm X70 is a great camera.
- Stylish metal body
- Direct manual controls
- High quality tilting 3inch touch-screen
- Excellent image quality
- ....
- Video button difficult to press - if you have large hands
- Touch screen operation could be improved (to give quicker access to Q menu items)
- Buttons on rear may be awkwardly placed depending on the size of your hands
- ISO range limited (ISO200 - ISO6400) when shooting raw
- Lacks image stabilisation
The Fujifilm X70 is an ultra-stylish compact camera with a larger APS-C CMOS sensor, and a compact 28mm equivalent f/2.8 lens, which means it gives DSLR image quality, with good noise performance in low light. It also has direct access to shutter and aperture controls making it feel like a traditional camera, such as the Olympus Trip 35, although the X70 is actually noticeably smaller....
- Autofokus, Bildqualität
- Klapp- und Touch-Display
- Starker Randschärfeverlust
Starke Bildqualität, tolle Extras und hohes Tempo zum fairer Preis – gekauft!
While Fujifilm isn't the only camera company to put an APS-C sensor in a point-and-shoot sized body, it's arguably been the most successful. The X100T is a wonder, but it's still a relatively big, expensive camera. The X70 does a fantastic job of taking that blueprint and shrinking it down, while borrowing liberally from other successful variants such as the Ricoh GR. ...
