It's hard to come up with many superlatives for the Wave 723. Unlike its big brother, the Samsung Wave, it hasn't got a stunning AMOLED screen or a snazzy metal case. Instead, it's a rounded, plastic phone with a low-resolution screen that feels more like an improvement on the popular Samsung Genio Touch.
The Samsung Wave 723 is a perfectly serviceable touchscreen phone with a good selection of features, but there are too many cheap, powerful Android phones that do the same job and lots more.

Das Samsung Wave 723 zeigt die richtigen Ansätze. Das verwendete Betriebssystem ist für den großen Auftritt allerdings noch nicht so weit. Android, das Samsung beim Galaxy S I9000 verwendet, ist einfach nach wie vor die bessere Wahl und schlägt „Bada“ in sämtlichen Kategorien. Entsprechend kann das neue Wave nicht wirklich zur Höchstform auflaufen.

The S7230E is a full-touchscreen model with a compact footprint and slim design. It is not fully specced-out like the original Wave (S8500). So instead of high-end features such as a WVGA (800 x 480-pixel) AMOLED screen and 2GB of storage, you get a lower-resolution WQVGA (400 x 240-pixel) LCD and just 90MB of storage, though you can expand that through the microSD slot.
The Wave 723 will be available in Germany starting September and will be rolled out to other countries in Europe, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Its price has yet to be announced. The last time Samsung announced Bada-based models was during the Singapore-held CommunicAsia 2010 in June, for the Wave 2 (S5250) and Wave 2 Pro (S5330). As far as we know, the Wave 2 has been pushed back from an August launch to Q4 2010, so it appears the Wave 723 may beat those two models to market. We have asked for a more specific launch date for the 7230E in Asia and are awaiting a response.
