Dank vieler Anschlussmöglichkeiten ist die Ausstattung der Olympus gut. Auch ihre Bildqualität bewertet Compuerbild als solide, auch wenn die Detailtreue höher sein könnte.
Die Olympus SH-21 ist eine Kompaktkamera für automatische Bilder. Mit Metallgehäuse. Kleiner Bildchip mit 16 Megapixel (Normalbrennweite: 9 mm). Macht insgesamt ordentliche Bilder (Note: 2,6). Hohe Auflösung. Eindruck im Sehtest: befriedigend (Aufnahmen bei gutem Licht). Technisch aber gut für Bilder bei wenig Licht: Autofokus funktioniert gut, Helligkeit sehr gut. Schwäche bei wenig Licht: Auflösung nur mäßig.

It is at this point it's important to remind oneself that this camera's RRP is £189.99 and not much higher, and you'll likely be able to buy if to for much less, a quick trawl on the Internet revealed prices as low as £134; this for a 16MP compact choc full of clever kit and a versatile 24-300mm zoom lens. Throw in the HD video and the fun filters and effects and suddenly those foibles I mentioned start to be come less significant. ...

A great inexpensive choice, the Olympus SH-21 is well suited to travellers who need a versatile snapper that feels like it could take a knock. The well thought-out quick-access menus are a boon. All in all, it's a great little package.

The Olympus SH-21 is a basic but nicely designed camera with a promising set of tech specs. Unfortunately, picture quality isn't quite up to scratch—mainly because lens quality is just too variable between models. Even if you do happen to get an SH-21 with a decent lens, the TN screen still makes it a three-star camera as far as we're concerned.
