Testberichte
- "Attractive design. Secure, comfortable fit. Plenty of third-party apps."
- "Expensive. Average battery life. Little functionality without connected iPhone."
The Apple Watch is the best smartwatch yet, but it's more of a luxury item than a replacement for your Timex.
- Beautifully constructed
- Handles messages well
- A solid fitness tracker
- Hundreds of apps
- ...
- Battery only lasts a little more than a day
- Most models and configurations cost more than they should
- Requires an iPhone to work
- Interface can be confusing
- ...
A year old and even more affordable, the Apple Watch remains the best designed and most capable smartwatch you can buy -- but we're hoping that the inevitable sequel makes it more of a must-have product.
We can't help but think that Apple has tried to do too much with this first generation Apple Watch. There are so many ways of interacting with it and so many different features and elements to get used to that the learning curve is surprisingly steep. It takes a lot of getting used to, and at times it feels counter-intuitive, something we're not use to with Apple devices. ...
- Gorgeous design
- Comfortable to wear
- Multiple variants to appeal to many people
- Notification support means you can glance and carry on with your day
- Interface can be counterintuitive at first
- occasionally feels sluggish
- third-party apps run relatively slowly
The Apple Watch isn't the first ever smartwatch, and it doesn't really do anything rival products don't do. But what it does do, it does as well as any smartwatch out there, thanks to Apple's user interface expertise. ...
Dauertest-Urteil: 1 von 5 Sterne
Apple has certainly managed to make a smartwatch that has the class of a real watch, while being the best smartwatch for iPhone users. More than that, the Apple Watch is better than Android Wear, outstripping it for features, interface and controls. [...]
In fact, the Apple Watch is a more complete product than the first iPhone. It’s certainly ahead of anything running Android Wear in terms of design. The Pebble Steel and forthcoming Pebble Time may be stronger rivals for your cash, with superior battery life to anything else – but they lack the design finesse of Apple’s digital timepiece and its fitness-tracking features.
- Top-Verarbeitung
- Gute Akkulaufzeit
- Viele Fitness-Features
- Intuitive Bedienung
- ...die jedoch viel Einarbeitung erfordert
- Teuer
And lastly…….the biggest test of the Apple Watch was always going to be my wife’s verdict – would this be yet another pointless gadget or something she would also desire? The verdict is in – a 38mm Apple Watch Sport has been ordered!
- Herausragendes, hochwertiges Design
- Sehr schönes Display
- Clevere digitale Krone

- Super Display
- Viele Apps brauchen ein iPhone
- Etwas wenige Funktionen
- Sehr kurze Laufzeit
- Läuft nur mit ab iPhone 5
- Sleek, stylish design
- Useful, attractive OS
- Solid app selection
- Slow loading apps
- Early bugs and crashes
The Apple Watch impresses with its design and interface, enhancing your mobile life, but it has some first-gen issues.
- Elegant design
- Long battery life
- Fantastic display
- Large app store
- Well constructed bands
- No GPS receiver
- Expensive body and bands
Matthew Miller has spent nearly two weeks with the Apple Watch Sport and it has exceeded all of his expectations. It's not yet perfect, but well ahead of Android Wear.
- Best Looking Smartwatch
- Good Battery Life
- Beautiful Screen
- Doesn't Always Respond
- Can be Sluggish at Times
So, the big question is has the definitive smart watch arrived? Not yet, and I don’t think it ever will. We are moving towards larger displays on our phones that allow us to do so much more. The smartwatch will always be a sidekick to our phone. It might become the most essential accessory for our phones but it won’t replace them in the foreseeable future.
- Two sizes
- Excellent build quality
- Refined interface
- Customisable
- Water resistant
- Premium pricing
- A day battery life
- Thick watch body
[...] Making the best smartwatch doesn’t necessarily validate the category. We still consider it a luxury, only now, Apple does too.
- Best-looking smartwatch so far
- Force Touch well integrated
- Digital Crown is a useful addition
- Comfortable to wear
- Unintuitive and buggy software
- Significantly drains iPhone battery
- Third-party apps need work
- Some gimmicky features
The Apple Watch is a beautiful smartwatch but it’s no closer to selling a smarter watch than any of its rivals.
- Haptic feedback and force touch gesture work well
- Supports Apple Pay even without an iPhone present
- Well-designed Activity and Workout apps provide good tracking and motivation
- No way to hide built-in apps from the home screen
- Many apps and glances are slow to load
The Apple Watch excels as a remote control and activity tracker, but it's slow and requires a Bluetooth connection to your iPhone, among other quirks. Still, it's hard not to admire a smartwatch this pretty.
- Stylish design
- Clever interface
- Two sizes
- Expensive at any level
- Battery life is one day
- Missing many key apps
Apple Watch is good, but better suited on the wrists of early adopters and boutique shop regulars. It's convenient but there's a learning curve you have to overcome and a high price that some people won't be able to get around.
- Finely crafted hardware
- Strong app support
- Lots of personalization options
- Easy-to-use fitness tracking
- Best smartwatch available
- Third-party apps can feel sluggish
- Some users will crave more control over notification settings
- Expensive
The Watch is the nicest smartwatch available, but it's more status symbol than wearable revolutionary. Most of the Watch's features can be categorized as nice to have (at best) or superfluous (at worst). As such, if you're not enamored with the Watch's appearance, it's probably not compelling enough to buy one.
Do you need an Apple Watch? Probably not. Will you want one now? If you're an iPhone user, the answer is maybe. Fewer folks wear watches these days, and a compelling smartwatch has to look good, feel good and actually offer features that we find compelling. The Apple Watch is the most comfortable smartwatch we've reviewed so far, and it looks good, though I wouldn't say it's a truly sharp looking watch.
- Edles Design
- Sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung
- Sehr gutes Display
- Einfache Bedienung
- Drahtlose Ladefunktion
- Hohe Preise
- Gorgeous design
- Multiple variants to appeal to many people
- Well designed UI
- Priced a lot higher than some will be prepared to pay
- Interface feels slightly sluggish
