Die Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ7 ist eine kleine, flache Kompaktkamera für automatische Bilder (nur 2,3 cm dick). Leicht (135 g). Kleiner Bildchip mit 14 Megapixel (Normalbrennweite: 9 mm). Macht noch gute Bilder (Note: 2,4), auch bei wenig Licht. Sehr gute Farbwiedergabe. Verwacklungsschutz gerade noch annehmbar. Eindruck im Sehtest: noch gut.

The Lumix DMC-SZ7 is a small camera, but it has a big lens that makes it a versatile camera. Its picture quality is good, its ease of use is high and it's a great little compact camera to carry with you in your pocket for all sorts of events, and even on a daily basis.

The SZ7 delivers on its "stylish zoom" promise - it looks decent, takes good pictures for the most part and the sizeable 10x optical zoom is a credit to have in such a small body size. However the poor LCD viewing angle and limited battery life are issues that can’t be ignored. ...

Although the feature set does help as much as hinder the performance of the SZ7, the end result is decent enough to use it as a holiday compact.

The twin highlights of the Panasonic Lumix SZ7 are undoubtedly its larger than average zoom and super-fast AF performance. Image quality is reasonable enough, and certainly on a par with the competition, at least when shooting at lower sensitivities and viewing the results on a laptop-sized screen, or as a 6x4in print. However, the combination of a small, densely populated sensor and some aggressive JPEG processing doesn’t produce particularly clean images at higher sensitivities.

The Panasonic DMC-SZ7's small size gives little hint to the impressive lens, decent resolution and quality video features packed within. At £200, it's a keenly priced, feature-packed snapper that's perfect for everyday use.
