Die PowerShot A3200 IS ist eine einfach gestrickte, zugängliche Einsteiger-Kamera auf dem üblichen Canon-Niveau. Einen großen Innovationssprung im Vergleich zu den Vorgängern sucht man einmal mehr vergebens – stattdessen konzentriert sich der japanische Hersteller wie so oft auf einen Aufguss bereits bekannter, zuverlässiger Technik.

The A3200 is another example of how Canon’s accumulated expertise has trickled down to their budget models. The A3200 is easy-to-use, looks good and delivers pretty good image quality for the money. In fact, compared to many other cheap (and even some mid-range) compacts, the A3200 is more than able to hold its own, delivering punchy, colourful images. Of course, it’s by no means perfect and it’s also frustratingly slow to use at times, but if you’re looking for a cheap compact that can punch above its weight, then this is a good starting point as any.

One of the better point and shoot options - possibly even the current best - available for around the £100 mark. You don’t get Full HD video, HDMI output nor fancy 3D effects but pretty much everything else you’d want from a contemporary compact snapshot, with the bonus of a sturdy metal build, is to be found here
